Throughout our development, RedFlow’s team has strived to develop best-in-class systems for our customers and partners. RedFlow has a history of exploiting our deep knowledge of energy storage to address major issues facing our industry.

One such project is RedFlow’s collaboration with the University of Queensland (“UQ”) to implement large scale electricity storage in one of Australia’s largest and most powerful solar photovoltaic (PV) flat panel arrays.
The UQ 1.2MW PV project, announced earlier this year, will cover three buildings at UQ’s St Lucia campus in Brisbane. It is due for commissioning in mid 2011 when it will be the largest flat panel PV array in Australia, and amongst the largest at any university in the world.
The facility will host a number of innovative research projects associated with optimising MW-scale PV systems and studying the impact of such systems on the local electricity network.
RedFlow is showcasing its M-class prototype in conjunction with the UQ 1.2MW PV installation. The RedFlow system was installed in April 2011.
