Redflow

Products & Markets

RedFlow aims to be the world leader in the field of kilowatt-scale electrical energy storage devices for domestic and commercial applications.

RedFlow develops, manufactures and sells energy storage systems into the utility and solar power markets. These are large scale battery systems with integrated control systems and inverters for trouble-free installation for households and businesses.

RedFlow's current systems offer 10 kWh to 30 kWh of energy storage (enough to power a typical Australian household for 2 to 24 hours). They are packaged, certified and require little site preparation with simple installation. They combine RedFlow's proprietary battery technology with an integrated electronic interface system.

RedFlow has two product ranges.

  • The LA systems use conventional lead acid batteries. This allowed RedFlow to prove its control and communication systems, and the palletised design in the field at an early stage.
  • The ZB systems use RedFlow's patented high capacity zinc-bromine systems. These are undergoing field trials in Australia ahead of a general market release.

Utility Demand Management

One of the issues for electricity utilities is the load profile of customers. RedFlow's Power+BOS® systems can ease this problem.

Solar PV Enhancement

Solar panels are a popular form of renewable generation, and with falling costs, the uptake is growing at more than 100% / year.
